Essence of Health (EOH) – This program is designed for active older adults and beginners to fitness. Also for those that enjoy a gentle approach to their workout. This program includes: Low, Tone & Core and Zumba® Gold.
• Fit For Life – Low impact aerobics (higher impact options given) combined with strength training for a total body workout. You will get the benefits of cardiovascular health, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility and balance. The class ends with core exercises that target the abdominal muscles, gluts and the lower back. The class is modified for all levels and is great for beginners, active older adults as well as a good cross training option for the avid exerciser.
• Zumba® Gold – Zumba® Gold targets the largest growing segment of the population: baby boomers. It takes the Zumba® formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the active older participant, as well as those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle.
QueViva Fitness currently offers three types of Zumba® classes:
Zumba® Fitness – Forget the workout, just lose yourself in the music and find yourself in shape at the original dance-fitness party. Zumba® classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before you know it, you’ll be getting fit and your energy levels will be soaring!
Zumba® Toning – When it comes to body sculpting, Zumba® Toning raises the bar (or rather, the toning stick). It combines targeted body-sculpting exercises, high-energy cardio work and Latin-infused Zumba® moves to create a calorie-torching, strength-training dance fitness-party. Students learn how to use lightweight, maraca-like Toning Sticks to enhance rhythm and tone all their target zones. Zumba® toning sticks are available for purchase $20 -1 lb. or $25 – 2½ lb.
Zumba® Step – Forget everything you know about “Step!” This class fuses the entire Step toning and strengthening for your legs and glutes with all of the Zumba® fitness-party fun you love.
Additional Fitness Classes
Mat Flow – This class is unique to QueViva. The creator, Sheilla Parkerson, combines elements of Functional and Strength Training, Yoga and Pilates in a very effective way that sculpts the entire body. The workout is choreographed to music, however there is no dancing involved. Participants use light dumbbells and or their own body weight to work on muscle tone, strength, balance and endurance.
Yoga – Participants of all levels of flexibility and fitness can experience the benefits of Yoga. Yoga improves flexibility strength and circulation as well as having a calming effect on the mind and body.
