Hi! I am Sheilla and I strive to make a positive impact in people’s lives by helping them stay active and healthy. I was born in Puerto Rico and moved to the United States when I was eleven years of age. Starting at the young age of four, I had a natural desire to be healthy. I can remember working out with my mother to her exercise videos and thinking, “Someday, I would like to help people to keep their bodies healthy and strong.”
Fostering that natural desire, I achieved my Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. While in college I became involved with the Physical Education department teaching aerobics to my colleagues. I am currently certified as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor through the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and I have been licensed to teach Zumba® Fitness since December 2010. Within the Zumba® specialties, I teach Zumba Gold®, Zumba® Toning, Zumba® Gold Toning, Zumba® Sentao™, Zumba® Kids and Aqua Zumba®.
I have worked in the fitness industry since 1998 in many capacities including: Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and Fitness Center Manager. My fortes include working with active older adults, beginners and children. I also enjoy getting involved in community events and showing people how easy and fun it is to move and to stay active. I embrace any chance I get to encourage people to move.

Exercise is a way of life, a way to help clear my mind and keep my body healthy but it wasn’t always that way for me. The years after I graduated from Keene State College, I found myself unhappy and unhealthy. I knew I wanted to find a way to bring exercise back into my life. I started walking and joined a local gym. I tried just about everything I could including Step, Spinning, Pilates, and Kickboxing. They were all fun for a while but eventually lost my interest.
It took me a long time but I reluctantly tried my first Zumba® class. I honestly don’t know what I was afraid of. I was a dancer for 10 years in my youth. I took ballet, jazz and tap classes so for me dancing was always in my blood but for some reason I didn’t want to try Zumba®. Only a few classes in and I was hooked. I finally found something that was interesting, made an hour fly by and I was exercising without boredom!!
That is what made me want to be a Zumba® instructor, helping people get past their fears of exercise with a fun and exciting new way. Not everyone is a dancer, but everyone can dance! Ihave seen Zumba positively change so many lives and it opened up a whole new world for me. I have met so many wonderful people in the Zumba community.
I have been a licensed Zumba® instructor since June 2010 focusing on Zumba and Aqua Zumba®. I currently teach Aqua Zumba® and Yoga at the Clark Memorial YMCA in Winchendon, MA. I am also available as a substitute instructor and for special Zumba® events. In my spare time I like to read, shop and spend time with friends and family. I currently live in Rindge, NH with my husband and our pets.
I love being part of the community that QueViva Fitness has brought together. People of all shapes, sizes and interests coming together for a common goal, our health!
Hi, I’m Gina. I began attending Zumba® Fitness classes in 2008 and fell in love with the program. After a few years of attending classes, I decided to get licensed to teach Zumba® Fitness. I have been licensed to teach since September 2011. I am also licensed to teach Zumba® Gold and Zumba® Kids.
I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree and also studied art education. I have five years of experience working with children and most recently as a teacher at a local preschool. I love being around and working with kids. Their energy, honesty and enthusiasm is inspiring. Working with children is what motivated me to become a Zumba® Kids instructor.
Hello! I am Ellen Wright. I have always loved moving to music. I grew up watching Shirley Temple and Fred Astaire movies. When American Bandstand, ShinDig, and Hullabaloo came along, I was glued to the television. I spent many hours dancing in my room and never missed a Saturday night dance at the Town Hall.
In the 80’s, I was a mother of two when Aerobic Dance began. The marriage of music and fitness was a perfect fit for me! Along with my good friend, I worked to build an aerobic dance program in our town through the Recreation Department. We received our certification as aerobics instructors, choreographed our own dances, and loved every minute of fitness and friendship we shared with our students.
Fast forward to the new millennium and I am now a grandmother of two. I still love dance fitness only this time it is Zumba® Fitness! I am very excited and thankful to be a licensed Zumba® Fitness instructor. I am licensed in Zumba® Fitness, Zumba Gold, and Zumba® Kids. I love each of these programs, but my heart belongs to Zumba® Gold. Zumba® Gold is truly designed to help every student succeed, and student success is my biggest goal as an instructor.
I’m a very happy lady these days watching each student grow in strength, beauty, and confidence both inside and out…and it’s all because we are dancing!
As a fitness professional I am often asked what exercise program or machine burns the most calories. I respond with whatever you like most. If you chose a program that you do not enjoy, no matter how many calories it burns, chances are you won’t stick with it. Exercise is not a quick fix, but a way of life. I am an AFAA certified personal trainer and YMCA of USA Fitness Instructor.
I started my fitness career in the late 90’s with Jazzercise. After the birth of my children I began teaching step classes at my local YMCA. In June 2010, I became licensed in Zumba and quickly fell in love. I am currently licensed to teach Aqua Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning, Zumba Kids and Zumba Step. I also teach cardio kickboxing, strength and conditioning, and Silver Sneakers.
Hello! I am excited to be a part of the QueViva Fitness family! I have my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts and my Masters of Arts in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling. Dance has been a big influence in my life. Staying fit and healthy both physically and mentally through dancing has always been my goal and now I get to share that with you through these wonderful fitness styles, Zumba and Pound! When you dance and move to music it causes a chemical reaction in your brain that helps you to feel positive and good about yourself. Even when you do not feel like getting out of the house, grab a friend and get yourself to my Pound or Zumba class. I guarantee you will not regret it!
I come from a professionally trained dance background with extensive experience in performance, choreography, and teaching. I believe in good warm-ups and cool downs. I lead each routine with the basic steps/movements/rhythms and adding on as well as showing modifications. This way you can choose your level of difficulty and be able to progress at your own rate. My routines are high energy, playful, and lots of fun! I encourage my participants to add their own style and flavor to the routines instead of focusing on getting every movement to look like mine. So, what are you waiting for??? Get out of that chair, away from the computer screen, and get moving your way to a healthier you both physically and mentally! See you there! Happy dancing & keep pounding it!
I’m excited to be teaching a Stott Pilates class at QueViva. The Stott principal of teaching is a safe and effective way of teaching Pilates. I have been in the fitness industry for 20 years and have exercised for more than 40 years. Teaching is my passion and it’s what brings me joy and I hope to continue for many more years.
My Mom always tells me I was born dancing! There are photos of me at 1 year old kicking up my heels! Dance has always been a part of my life from ballet as a young girl to performing with dance companies and earning a BA in Dance/Movement Therapy and now to Zumba! After having a car accident about 20 years ago, I had to stop dancing for a while and missed it terribly. I turned to yoga and although I do enjoy that, it’s not the same as dancing for me. I discovered Zumba in 2013 after moving back to NH and discovered it with the best teacher ever…Sheilla!!
After taking classes for a couple of years, I decided to take the Zumba instructor training and received my license in 2016. I am licensed to teach Zumba Fitness and Zumba Gold. I love doing both and bringing to each group what works best for them. With a background in dance instruction and performance, I am able to bring those skills to the great combination that Zumba provides of dance, fitness and fun!
I love being a part of the QueViva team and hope to dance with you soon!
Hello! I am Caitlin. Being active has always been a part of my life. Whether playing soccer at a young age, to picking up running after college, it has provided a time for me to burn off energy and get the endorphins pumping. I am a 200-hour registered yoga teacher. I love working with students to help them find their breath and safely move through postures, all while honoring where they are, in the present moment. I feel extremely fortunate to have been welcomed with open arms into the QueViva Fitness family! I look forward to meeting you on your mat.
